Bill and Julie Deeks

Luella: we are so sorry to hear from CMTC about Jim. He had a remarkable life and we shared many a moment with our Labradors. we will salute Jim on our afternoon walk with our two, Sunny and Missy. In the 48th he must have served with my Uncle Doug Deeks a Major for the Italian Campaign. A very tough haul. Therer are so many Jim stories from Caledon, one of which I will share; One Wednesday about three summers ago we were up in the Gazebo, with Jim fishing down on the edge of pond 4. All of a sudden he is in the water so after we pullerd him out he said with that big smile of his:"that was one big fish; I could not hold him!" Carole rose to the occasion with dry duds and by the end of lunch she was back with his clothes washed and dryed so you would never know what happened. He was with a Dr friend that day. So many good dinners and parties where he was always having a good time and never short of stoies. We will all miss him greatly but hope to see you and your lovely chocolate Lab next summer. Our very best to you and the family, Julie and Bill Deeks.
