Condolence: Dear Mrs. Thomson, I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Thomson was always so cheerful and chatty. He would sit in his spot in the reception area, and after his ale would in his special way say, "I suppose you are much to busy to sit awhile and talk?" Certainly, whether the conversation was about dogs, or books, it was always a nice way to spend some time at the Caledon Mountain Trout Club. He will be greatly missed by not only fellow members, and our staff, but by me too!. I will look forward to seeing you there again soon and will know my day will be better for having you in it... Thinking of you and your family during this very difficult time.

Condolence: My condolences to Mrs Luella Thomson, family and friends.
This is how I remember a man of great character zeal and such zest for life
In greeting I would ask Mr. Thomson how are you today and his reply it’s Jim and “all the better for seeing you today “followed by one of his quite often colourful story’s that flowed like casting a fly skimming the surface before taking you to the deep pure poetry in motion better get ready it may be a while before you get back to doing whatever you were doing before your paths crossed...
The man was full of one liners quick wit that left you with a sore stomach from belly laughter!
On so many different occasions he would catch you completely off guard leaving many refreshed with his take on life...
His love of the Trout Club did not go unnoticed this past season he attended every event and function he could fit in he came to the heels party with injury like that was going to stop him” not “, spent the night in emerge being attended to and came right back for champagne brunch the following morning.
He is now with his beloved dogs blowing his whistle as they dance to his direction.
In ending I must say that it is We that are all the better for knowing you Mr.Thomson, Yes I know Jim. He will be missed Rest in peace.
Sincerely,
Monte Buttler

Condolence: Luella: we are so sorry to hear from CMTC about Jim. He had a remarkable life and we shared many a moment with our Labradors. we will salute Jim on our afternoon walk with our two, Sunny and Missy. In the 48th he must have served with my Uncle Doug Deeks a Major for the Italian Campaign. A very tough haul.
Therer are so many Jim stories from Caledon, one of which I will share; One Wednesday about three summers ago we were up in the Gazebo, with Jim fishing down on the edge of pond 4. All of a sudden he is in the water so after we pullerd him out he said with that big smile of his:"that was one big fish; I could not hold him!" Carole rose to the occasion with dry duds and by the end of lunch she was back with his clothes washed and dryed so you would never know what happened. He was with a Dr friend that day.
So many good dinners and parties where he was always having a good time and never short of stoies. We will all miss him greatly but hope to see you and your lovely chocolate Lab next summer. Our very best to you and the family, Julie and Bill Deeks.

Condolence: Dear Luella:
Please accept our heartfelt sympathies.
We will always remember Jim fondly and our lives are so much richer for having shared time with both of you at the Trout. Opening Weekend will never be the same without Jim's wonderful stories, not to mention his sartorial splendor.
He will be dearly missed by his many friends at the Trout.

Condolence: Luella, what a perfect obituary for our old pal,Jim. He had a wonderful life and he lived it to the full. We'll miss his stories and his humour and his determination not to let old age get him down. You were the light of his life and he told me so on many occasions. The book club won't be the same without him but we'll remember all his wonderful tales plus the required attendance at various boxing matches! Hopefully he'll now be reunited with Stormy and his other Labrador friends.....if not what's a heaven for?
Thinking of you and the family
With very best wishes
Ian
