Obituary for Stephen Christopher "Steve" Mills

Stephen Christopher "Steve" Mills
Mills, Stephen Christopher
Peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the age of 43. Beloved husband of Tara Farenick. Dear father of Evan and Darren. Cherished son of Pat and Stan Mills. Caring brother of Andrew Mills (Carine). Loving uncle of Olivia and Nicholas.

Steve was an immensely talented artist. But his passion was cartooning. He could spend hours creating characters and loved building their back story. He would even include theme music. Steve was quick with his humour, it was the envy of others. He loved comics, video games, the Simpsons, comedians, chips, jazz and blues music and pathfinders. To those who called Steve friend you could not know a truer more loyal friend. He believed in helping others and was a fantastic listener. Steve loved his family. There was nothing better for him than spending time loving and laughing. His boys were his world. Steve will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First Street, Orangeville on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will begin in the Chapel at 7:00 pm. Memorial donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

A tree will be planted in memory of Steve in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
