Our Trip to Nova Scotia

I will never forget our trip out to Nova Scotia after Grandmother sold her farm near Newmarket, ON.  So long ago it seems!  I must have been around 10 years old or thereabouts at the time so it would be around 1966 ...It was my Mom, Edna Yake Wright, my Aunt Rossie, my sister Sandra, brothers Donald and Anthony Wright and Grandmother Yake too I believe, although I can't really remember...we were in our orange and white VW Bus travelling thru Quebec and our car broke down...we ended up staying overnight and I got a colouring book that was in French!  Seemed so unreal to me at the time as I was very young and from Georgia!  That trip was so much fun!  Aunt Rossie sat with us kids in the back and she let us put makeup on her to help occupy our time!  If you could imagine!!  We stopped somewhere to eat and she got out of the car with a totally white face because of all the makeup we put on her!  It didn't seem to bother her one bit!  We still laugh about that to this day!  And she also taught me how to count to 10 in french which I remember to this day!  A very memorable trip and a wonderful memory of my Aunt Rossie!!  She will be greatly missed.  Rest in Peace dear Aunt Rossie.  Nancy
