Obituary for Betty-Jane Lehman (Walton)
LEHMAN, Betty-Jane
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share that my beautiful mother Betty-Jane Lehman passed away at home in the evening of July 20, 2015, surrounded by her adoring family and friends.
Betty was a loving wife to Gord and an extremely dedicated mother to Liz (Andrew), Michael, Kevin (Olivia) and Carrie. Known affectionately as Gams to her beautiful grandchildren Alicia, Nella, Teagan, Bailey and Aubrie. She was a passionate educator and committed much of her energy to improving the lives of students, teachers and the communities within which she worked with. Betty was a dedicated artist who promoted the arts within the community and delighted in her weekly sessions.
We are extremely thankful to her caring and dedicated caregivers, primarily the gracious and devoted Beth Manilo, who have worked so hard to make her last few years comfortable, entertaining and a continued adventure.
To honour her wishes we will be celebrating her life at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 7-9pm.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to Hospice Dufferin.
A tree will be planted in memory of Betty-Jane in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
